The way that this is being told is beautifully done. The story and plot development in how we see the sequence of events unfold and how the reader is given information is expertly done. This is also non-traditional in the way we see things and I love that because we really do have to read the book and the story to follow along. There is no coasting or flipping through this you have to pay attention. The character development is fantastic and to see Lyla unable to maintain her cool or how we see Kad living his life his way on the island and the kids well at least Martina, have this really amazing attention given. The way we see the pacing bringing us these twists, turns and possibly a few revelations affects the ebb & flow in some unique ways ...

The story and plot development that we see here is extraordinarily good. There is this way about how the reader is given information so that we learn what we are given alongside Lyla. I love this technique because the surprises hit us harder and the way that encounter situations causes an authentic reaction from the reader. The character development that we are seeing is stupendous and how we manage to see the characters and some temporary baseline personalities that are set to grow, change and evolve is mesmerising ...

I like the way the book unfolds and how Lyla is handling herself – basically getting worse and worse as it goes along – and it definitely feels like the stakes are incredibly high...

You Are Obsolete had me hooked from the first issue and this builds well on it as we know just how trapped Lyla is in what the children are up to. We get a better look at the dynamic of life in Muhu and how both children and adults act which is definitely creepy in obvious ways. Lyla’s story is definitely a draw as we watch her deal with all that’s thrown at her while looking for something to latch onto as so much is coming out ...

It’s no surprise that Lyla’s attempt to get off the island after that doesn’t go anywhere as they have their grand plans for her (and backup plans with other disgraced people they can try and take advantage of) and it’s amusing to see her attempt to come up with a plan. Her desperation comes through well and the way she shifts gears to try and calm herself to execute the plan she comes up with is just right...
